As a cultural symbol, the meticulously decorated kris represent refinement, art, and beauty, as the pride and prized possession for its owner. This straight-bladed Maguindanao kris is a replica of the sword seen at British Museum given as a gift by Datu Piang (Amay Mingka) in 1905 to Dr. A. W. Christensen.
